(At this point Hannah does not have any plans of going away. The art school she is planning to attend is a long commute a couple of days a week.) Hannah was in charge of her 4-H group's service to our animal shelter a couple of years ago. Of course I got to be a part of it.That was fun. We also went to a local horse rescue for a few months. I really enjoyed that one. Cleaning stalls and walking through horse pastures made me feel like a kid again. The home school co-ops around here never really took hold, but there are plenty of group activities. I could check with home schooling families at our church to see if there is anything I could do to be of help to them. Take care.Imblesthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17186975233218066692noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6042906330277492765.post-24181884217726749352014-05-18T06:07:45.852-07:002014-05-18T06:07:45.852-07:00Aww, thanks, Allison! I am learning to enjoy each day, each snuggle and purr, as it comes. Pets get old and children grow up far too quickly!
But then, I wouldn't want time to stop, so I guess I'll let it keep ticking on. ;-)
Jill Stenglhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13218641704241875981noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6042906330277492765.post-18152310991338145532014-05-18T06:04:46.953-07:002014-05-18T06:04:46.953-07:00Thank you so much, Becky! Writing books and teaching at the home school co-op are good activities for me; they keep my brain moving. I have plenty of hobbies, but they don't provide as much challenge. If I didn't live in the back of beyond, I would probably volunteer at an animal shelter. Maybe someday!
Hugs!
JillJill Stenglhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13218641704241875981noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6042906330277492765.post-78340058033841068092014-05-18T04:46:58.601-07:002014-05-18T04:46:58.601-07:00I read this late, but I just wanted to say that th...I read this late, but I just wanted to say that thoughts and prayers are with all of your kitties and family. : )Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06401287896327956210noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6042906330277492765.post-33721206041858610132014-05-16T18:34:48.800-07:002014-05-16T18:34:48.800-07:00I'm so slow to getting around to reading, but ...I'm so slow to getting around to reading, but I enjoyed your post. I'm glad to hear your Mimi is well again. It's so hard when our critters are sick. They can't always tell us where it hurts.

Empty nest... yep, sometimes I realize that could be closer for me than I think. Well, it won't be easy for me, but I know there are plenty of things I could do (but I don't write novels...yet...lol!) It's probably a good time to start praying about it.

I pray all of God's best for Pete as he finishes up his senior year and prepares to head off to college (and you and your husband, also). God bless you all.

BeckyImblesthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17186975233218066692noreply@blogger.com
